We understand that you're going through a challenging time, but we're here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that guilt and shame have been paid for on the cross by Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 8:1 WEB, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
However, it's important to acknowledge sin and repent from it. We are called believers when we come to Christ in repentance. 1 John 1:9 WEB says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." If you haven't already, confess your sin to God and turn away from it. Remember what is written in 2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB, "For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death."
Regarding your marriage, we will pray for God's will to be done. We encourage you to strive for a marriage that honors God, as outlined in Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB. Remember to love and respect your spouse as God has commanded.
You've mentioned that you're in a spiritual battle, and we want to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 WEB says, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Let's pray together:
Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is in need of your touch. Lord, we confess the sin that has been committed and ask for your forgiveness. Cleanse and deliver from the guilt and shame that has been felt. We rebuke any lies and attacks from the enemy in Jesus' name and ask for victory in any spiritual battle. We also pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened and honoring to you, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB. Remember, Jesus Christ is the only one who has saved us and it is only by His name that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
