Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my friend’s mom. She’s in her 80’s and is very weak and dying at home. Her husband needs to make difficult decisions soon. He has not been willing to pay for the medical and caregiving help she needs. My friend is full of anxiety and is suicidal. Please pray that God would miraculously heal her mom of her heart condition and seizure condition and that she would gain her strength back. Or else, just please provide a miraculous solution! Thanks!

We lift this precious situation before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of suffering and the fragility of life. First, we must acknowledge that our hope and trust rest solely in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His blood alone that we have access to the Father, and it is through faith in Him that we find salvation and peace. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If any among you do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent and believe in Him, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

Father God, we come before You with hearts broken for this dear woman in her 80s, weak and nearing the end of her earthly journey. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We ask for Your miraculous healing over her heart and seizure condition. If it is Your will, restore her strength, renew her body, and bring her comfort and peace in this difficult time. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the promise that You hear the cries of Your children (Psalm 34:17). Yet, not our will, but Yours be done, for You alone know what is best (Matthew 26:39).

We also lift up this woman’s husband, who is faced with heavy decisions. Father, grant him wisdom and discernment as he navigates this season. Soften his heart to seek Your will above all else, and provide for the needs of his wife, whether through financial provision, caregiving support, or the strength to make difficult choices. We rebuke any spirit of hardness or selfishness in him, and we pray that he would turn to You for guidance, for You promise to give wisdom generously to all who ask (James 1:5).

For the friend who is carrying this burden, we cry out for Your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The anxiety and despair she feels are real, and we do not take them lightly. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and hopelessness that seeks to destroy her. Remind her that You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround her with Your love, Your people, and Your truth. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). If she does not know You, Lord, draw her to Yourself, that she may find rest in You alone.

We also pray for a miraculous solution, Father. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). Whether through healing, provision, or a peaceful transition, we ask that You move in this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name. Comfort this family, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. May they know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Finally, we declare that death has no sting, and the grave has no victory, for You, Lord Jesus, have overcome the world (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). Whether this dear woman is healed on this side of eternity or welcomed into Your presence, we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Strengthen this family to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), and to hold fast to the hope we have in You.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
