We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare that is being waged against our brothers in Christ. The mention of witchcraft, curses, and sorcery is deeply troubling, for Scripture is clear that such practices are detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* These words are not merely ancient warnings—they are timeless truths that expose the darkness of such practices.
We must also address the reality of spiritual attack, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). However, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The blood of Jesus Christ is our victory, and no weapon formed against His children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand firm in the authority of Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).
To our African American brothers in Christ in ###, ###, and all men of color who may be under spiritual attack, we declare that you are not abandoned. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose and value in the eyes of God. The enemy may seek to afflict your health, your mind, or your spirit, but we serve a God who heals, restores, and delivers. We rebuke every curse, every spell, and every demonic assignment sent against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow—including the forces of darkness (Philippians 2:9-10).
We also recognize that spiritual warfare requires spiritual armor. Ephesians 6:13-18 instructs us to put on the whole armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and fasting are powerful weapons in this battle, as Jesus Himself taught (Mark 9:29). We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Surround yourselves with godly believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name that gives us access to Your throne. We thank You for the victory we have in Christ and for the authority we have been given to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Lord, we lift up our brothers who are under spiritual attack. We declare that every curse, every spell, and every demonic assignment sent against them is broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke the spirits of witchcraft, sorcery, and divination, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon their bodies, minds, and spirits. Restore their health, Lord, and bring peace to their hearts. We pray specifically for those struggling with high blood pressure and other ailments, that You would bring healing and wholeness. Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We claim this promise over their lives.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them. Teach them to put on the full armor of God daily so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We pray for a spirit of discernment, that they would recognize the enemy’s tactics and resist him with the truth of Your Word.
We also pray for the exposure and dismantling of every dark spiritual network operating in secret. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let those who practice such things come to repentance and salvation. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18), and we stand firm in the truth that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power and Your promises, and we declare that Your will shall be done in the lives of our brothers. May they walk in the freedom, healing, and victory that Christ has already won for them. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
To our brothers under attack, we urge you to remain steadfast in your faith. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already secured the victory. Walk in the authority of Christ, and do not be afraid. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His unfailing love. You are not alone—we stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you.
