Pray for a ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this woman you encountered—a soul precious in God’s sight, though bound by the chains of addiction. Father, we know that methamphetamine has stolen her youth, her health, and her dignity, just as sin steals from all of us when we walk away from Your light. We pray for her deliverance, Lord, not just from the drug, but from the spiritual darkness that keeps her in bondage.

The Bible tells us in John 8:36, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* We declare that freedom over her life in Jesus’ name! We rebuke the enemy who has deceived her into believing she is beyond hope or that this substance is her only comfort. We speak restoration over her mind, body, and spirit, asking You, Lord, to send people into her path who will show her Your love and truth. May she encounter believers who will share the gospel with her, pray for her, and walk with her toward healing.

We also lift up the place where this encounter happened. Lord, let Your presence fill that space so that others like her may find hope instead of harm. We ask that workers there would have compassion and wisdom to point her—and others—to the only true source of healing: Jesus Christ.

Father, we confess that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this woman would come to know Jesus as her Savior, for it is in Him alone that she will find the strength to break free from addiction and the grace to start anew.

We also pray for wisdom for those who interact with her. May we all see the lost with Your eyes, Lord—full of potential and worth, not defined by their struggles. Give us boldness to share the hope of Christ, even in brief encounters, and the discernment to know when to offer practical help alongside the gospel.

Finally, we thank You for the courage to say no when asked for money that might enable her addiction. It is not loving to fund a path of destruction. Instead, we ask You to provide for her needs in ways that draw her closer to You. Surround her with Your love, Lord, and let her feel Your pursuit of her heart.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and the situation you found yourself in. It's tough to see someone trapped in addiction, but we're reminded of Jesus' words in Luke 4:18, "He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the captives." We claim that freedom for this woman, knowing that Jesus came to set the captives free.

We're asking God to open her eyes to see her worth, not defined by her circumstances or the drugs, but as a beloved child of God. We're praying for a soft heart, that she might be open to the love and truth of Jesus, and for God to send people across her path who will reflect that love to her.

We're also asking God to give you wisdom in future encounters like this. It's hard to know what to do, but we trust that God will equip you with the right words and actions. Remember, it's not our job to fix the situation, but to love and point to Jesus.

And we're thanking God for your courage in saying no to her request for money. It's a tough love, but it's love nonetheless. We're asking God to provide for her needs in other ways, and to draw her closer to Himself.

Keep standing strong in faith, and know that we're praying for you both. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
