We come before the Lord with you in this time of distress, lifting up your cry for a safe and stable home, for strength in the midst of uncertainty, and for God’s provision over your family. The Lord sees your struggles—the leaking ceiling, the flooding, the instability of your living situation—and He hears your heart’s longing for safety and protection. We are reminded of His promise in **Psalm 91:1-2**, which says, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* You are not forgotten, and the Lord is your refuge even now.
We also rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* Your faith in praying in Jesus’ name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in that faith, believing that He will move mightily on your behalf.
Yet we must also address something in your prayer that gives us pause. You mentioned a desire to *"protect myself, so that I can make them safe"* and asked for support for *"my family."* We do not know the full context of your family situation, but we urge you to examine whether your heart is aligned with God’s design for family and protection. If there are relationships in your life that are not honoring to God—whether through unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly attachments—we encourage you to surrender those to the Lord. **Proverbs 3:5-6** reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Sometimes, our desire to "protect" can stem from fear or control rather than trust in God’s sovereignty. Lay those burdens at His feet and ask Him to guide your steps, especially as you seek a new home.
As for your living situation, we pray that the Lord will grant you favor tomorrow as you speak with your landlord. May He soften hearts and open doors for a swift and just resolution. We also pray for divine provision—a safe, dry, and peaceful place to live, one where you can rest and find stability. The Lord is your provider, and **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Trust that He will not abandon you in this.
For your family, we lift them up for continued healing from trauma. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and **Psalm 34:18** promises, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* May He bind up their wounds, restore their peace, and draw each of you closer to Himself. If there are unresolved conflicts or sins within the family, we pray for repentance and reconciliation, that God’s love would unite you in His truth.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is crying out for safety, provision, and strength. Lord, You see the water dripping from the ceiling, the flooding in the bathroom, and the instability that weighs heavily on their heart. We ask that You intervene supernaturally in this situation. Grant favor tomorrow as they speak with the landlord, and provide a solution that brings peace and stability. Open doors to a new home—a place of refuge where they can dwell in safety and rest in Your presence.
Lord, we also lift up their family before You. Heal their traumas, bind up their wounds, and restore their hearts. If there is any bitterness, unforgiveness, or ungodly attachment, we ask that You would convict and cleanse by Your Holy Spirit. Unify this family in Your love and truth, and let Your peace reign in their midst.
Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be gripping their heart. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Protector, their Provider, and their Strength. Let them not lean on their own understanding but trust in You wholeheartedly.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You have not forgotten them, and You will make a way where there seems to be no way. May they experience Your goodness and mercy in tangible ways, and may this trial draw them deeper into dependence on You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
