We come before the Lord with gratitude, lifting up your requests for employment and the concerns of your heart regarding the leadership in your nation. First, we want to remind you that our confidence is in the Lord, who provides all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As it is written, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your desire for a permanent position as a Business Analyst is a good thing, and we pray that God will open the right doors for you, granting you favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. We ask that He will guide your steps, equip you with wisdom, and provide a job that not only meets your financial needs but also allows you to be a light for Christ in your workplace. Remember, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Trust in Him, for He knows the desires of your heart and will lead you in the path He has prepared for you.
Now, regarding your prayer about the senior prime minister and the house in question, we must approach this with caution and humility. While it is right to pray for godly leadership and justice, we are called to pray for our leaders—even those we disagree with—so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and reverence. The Scripture tells us, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."* (1 Timothy 2:1-2, WEB). Instead of praying for the removal of this leader out of personal or familial grievances, let us pray that God will soften his heart and lead him to make decisions that honor the Lord and serve the people justly. If there is indeed corruption or dishonesty in his actions, we ask that God will expose it and bring conviction, for *"the Lord weighs the spirits"* (Proverbs 16:2, WEB). However, we must be careful not to let our prayers be driven by bitterness or vengeance, for Scripture warns us, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB).
If the late leader’s wishes were just and aligned with godly principles, we pray that God will honor those intentions and bring about a resolution that reflects His righteousness. But let us also remember that our ultimate trust is not in human leaders or their legacies, but in the sovereign will of God, who raises up kings and removes them according to His purpose (Daniel 2:21). We must surrender even our deepest frustrations to Him, asking that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Finally, we notice that your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your provision and guidance. Lord, we ask that You open the doors for a permanent position as a Business Analyst, a job that will not only provide for their future but also allow them to glorify You in their work. Grant them wisdom, favor, and discernment as they seek employment, and let them trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider.
Father, we also bring before You the concerns about the leadership in their nation. We ask that You work in the heart of the senior prime minister, leading him to make decisions that are just, honorable, and aligned with Your will. If there is any corruption or selfish ambition, expose it and bring conviction. Lord, we pray that Your justice and righteousness will prevail, and that any plans that do not align with Your purposes will be frustrated. Yet, we also ask that You guard our hearts from bitterness or malice, and help us to pray with love and a desire for Your kingdom to come.
Father, we surrender these requests to You, trusting that Your will is perfect. Strengthen our faith and remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Equip us with Your armor, and let us stand firm in prayer, seeking Your face in all things.
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
