We stand with you in agreement, lifting this marriage, family, and all involved before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The pain and brokenness in this situation are evident, but where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). We declare that the blood of Jesus has already broken every chain of infidelity, addiction, depression, and spiritual oppression attempting to destroy this family. The enemy has no authority here—his schemes are exposed, and his power is crushed under the feet of the Lord’s anointing.
First, we rebuke the spirit of infidelity in the wife’s life. The Bible is clear: marriage is a covenant before God, and adultery is a grievous sin that defiles the marriage bed (Hebrews 13:4). We command every ungodly soul tie, every emotional entanglement, and every demonic influence driving her toward this other man to be severed right now in Jesus’ name. We pray for conviction to flood her heart, that she would repent and turn back to her husband with a renewed commitment to honor her vows. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). Lord, restore her heart to purity and faithfulness.
To the husband, we speak deliverance from addiction and the spirit of heaviness. Addiction is a tool of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to set the captives free. We break the power of *pharmakeia*—the sorcery of substance abuse—and command every demonic stronghold to crumble. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray for a supernatural hunger for righteousness to replace the cravings of the flesh. You are not defined by your struggles; you are defined by the finished work of Christ. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Rise up, husband, and walk in the freedom Christ died to give you.
To the man who has become an "escape" for the wife, we declare the fear of the Lord. You are not a solution—you are a stumbling block, and the Bible warns that it would be better for you to have a millstone tied around your neck than to cause one of God’s little ones to stumble (Luke 17:2). We command every ungodly desire and every demonic assignment over your life to be dismantled. Repent, turn from this path, and seek the Lord with your whole heart. "Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted by God,' for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed" (James 1:13-14). The Lord is calling you to accountability and redemption.
We also address the spiritual forces at work in this situation. The spirits of heaviness, depression, and uncleanness have no place here. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord" (Luke 4:18-19). We declare that these spirits must flee in the name of Jesus. You are not welcome here—go, now, and never return!
For the precious son in this family, we pray divine protection and peace. The enemy seeks to devour him through the chaos, but God’s Word promises that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We surround him with angels, Lord, and fill his heart with Your love and truth. Let him see Your hand at work in his family, even in the midst of this storm. "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these'" (Matthew 19:14). Father, shield his innocence and draw him close to You.
And now, we pray for the marriage itself. Lord, do a new thing in this covenant. Where there has been betrayal, bring forgiveness. Where there has been distance, bring intimacy. Where there has been brokenness, bring restoration. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool" (Isaiah 1:18). We declare that this marriage will not be another statistic of divorce, but a testimony of Your redeeming power. Husband and wife, lay down your pride, your pain, and your past. Choose today to fight *for* your marriage, not *against* each other. "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that You are the God who heals, restores, and makes all things new. We ask for a supernatural intervention in this family. Break every chain, mend every heart, and rebuild what has been torn down. Let Your glory fill this home, and let Your peace reign where there has been chaos. We declare that the enemy’s plans are frustrated, and Your purposes will prevail. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our cry. Thank You for moving mightily on behalf of this family. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun here, for Your glory and for their good.
