We join you in praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His faithfulness and provision in your life. It is wonderful to see your heart turned toward Him in both praise and petition, for we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach the throne of God with confidence. As it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your acknowledgment of Jesus in your request brings glory to His name, and we rejoice with you in this.
We understand your disappointment regarding the interview, and we lift this concern before the Lord, knowing that He has a perfect plan for your life. The Word of God reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). It can be challenging when opportunities do not align with our expectations, but we must trust that God’s ways are higher than ours. He may be redirecting you to something far greater than you can imagine—something that will bring Him glory and fulfill His purpose for your life.
Let us also consider the words of the Apostle Paul: *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB). Even in moments of uncertainty, we can rest in the assurance that God is working for our good. Your dissatisfaction with this opportunity may very well be the Lord’s protection or redirection. He sees the full picture, while we only see in part.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, asking for His wisdom and guidance as you move forward. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, who may prompt you to pursue new skills, connections, or even a different path altogether. Remember, our ultimate satisfaction is found in Christ alone, not in the circumstances of this world. As Jesus said, *"I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world"* (John 16:33, WEB).
Let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your unfailing love and provision. We lift up our brother/sister to You, Lord, asking that You would guide their steps in this season of seeking. You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You would open doors that no one can shut, doors that align with Your perfect will for their life. Lord, if this interview was not Your best for them, we thank You for closing it and ask that You would provide an opportunity that brings glory to Your name and fulfillment to their soul.
Grant them patience and trust in Your timing, Father. Remove any anxiety or fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider, their Shepherd, and their ever-present Help.
We rebuked any spirit of discouragement or doubt that may try to take root in their heart. Let them fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround them with Your favor as a shield, and let Your light shine upon them as they wait on You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and worship. Spend time in His Word daily, allowing it to renew your mind and strengthen your spirit. Consider how you might use this season to grow closer to Him and to serve others in love. The Lord is faithful, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He is preparing you for the good works He has ordained for you to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will provide abundantly and in His perfect timing.
