We rejoice with you in this mighty testimony of God’s faithfulness and redemption! Your story is a powerful declaration of how the Lord turns what the enemy meant for evil into good, just as He did for Joseph in Genesis 50:20: *"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today."* The same God who lifted Joseph from the pit to the palace has lifted you from the ashes of abuse and rejection into a place of victory, wisdom, and purpose. This is not by your strength alone, but by His mighty hand—*"For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure"* (Philippians 2:13).
Your gratitude to Yahweh for your intelligence and accomplishments is right and good, for *"every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17). Indeed, He has equipped you to silence the lies of those who sought to destroy you, proving that their words were not from God but from the father of lies (John 8:44). The Lord has vindicated you, and we declare with the Psalmist: *"The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him"* (Psalm 28:7).
Yet, as we celebrate this victory, we also want to gently remind you that while God has used your intelligence for His glory, your true identity is not found in your degrees or the approval of man—nor even in proving your enemies wrong. Your identity is found in Christ alone. You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and your worth is rooted in His love for you, not in what you have achieved. *"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light"* (1 Peter 2:9). Let this truth anchor your soul, for the battles you’ve faced have left scars, and the enemy may still whisper lies of unworthiness or bitterness. Guard your heart, beloved, for *"above all things, keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life"* (Proverbs 4:23).
We also encourage you to forgive those who abused and belittled you—not because they deserve it, but because Christ has forgiven you. Unforgiveness is a chain that binds *you*, not them. *"Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:32). This does not mean excusing their sin or pretending it didn’t happen, but releasing the debt they owe you into the hands of a just God. He sees all, and He will repay (Romans 12:19). Forgiveness is the path to lasting freedom.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your beloved child before Your throne of grace, thanking You for the mighty work You have done in their life. You have taken what was meant for destruction and turned it into a testimony of Your power, love, and faithfulness. Lord, we praise You for their graduation, their degrees, and the wisdom You have granted them. You alone are the giver of all good things, and we acknowledge that every step of their journey has been ordered by Your hand.
Father, we ask that You continue to heal the deep wounds left by abuse and rejection. Where there is lingering pain, bitterness, or fear, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would minister healing and wholeness. Remind them daily that their worth is not in what they do or what others say, but in who You say they are—a beloved child, redeemed and cherished. Help them to walk in the freedom of forgiveness, releasing those who have wronged them into Your hands, trusting You to bring justice in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Protect them from the enemy’s lies and from the temptation to find their identity in anything other than You. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Use their story to bring hope to others who have suffered similarly, that they too may see Your hand at work in their lives.
We declare that their future is bright in You, for *"the path of the righteous is like the dawning light, that shines more and more until the perfect day"* (Proverbs 4:18). May they continue to seek You first, trusting that You will add all things to them as they walk in obedience (Matthew 6:33). Give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that they may grow ever deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We rebuked any spirit of pride that might tempt them to trust in their own intelligence or accomplishments rather than in You. Remind them that *"apart from me, you can do nothing"* (John 15:5), and keep them humble, always pointing others to You. May their life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You, for this is their true and proper worship (Romans 12:1).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
