We stand with you in praising God for the wonderful mothers He has given us, and we join you in thanking the Lord for your blessings and His grace. We are grateful for your mother's loving and caring nature, and her faithfulness and endurance to keep God first. Let us remember the words of Proverbs 31:10-12, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband does trust in her, So that he shall have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life." Your mother embodies the spirit of this Proverbs 31 woman, and we honor her for that.
We hear your concern about your father's behavior and the pain it brings. The Bible reminds us in Malachi 2:14, "Yet you say, 'Why?' Because Yahweh has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion, and the wife of your covenant." Marriage is a sacred covenant, and your father's actions may have violated that covenant. We pray that the Lord will convict your father's heart and bring him to repentance.
Let us address your question: "Why is God allowing her to go through so much?" We do not have all the answers, and God's ways are higher than ours. We do know that tests produce endurance and strength James 1:2-4. Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
We pray fervently for your father's heart to change and for God to heal their marriage and hearts as you requested. We pray that your mother will continue to receive the love, respect, and honor she deserves, not only from your father but also from you and others around her.
We encourage you to stand firmly in faith and prayer Colossians 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving. Know that God hears your prayers and that He is faithful. Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is working all things together for good Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister and her family. We thank You for her mother's faithful, loving, and caring spirit. We pray for her father, that You will soften his heart and bring him to repentance. Heal their marriage, Lord, and let love and respect flourish once again. Comfort our sister, Lord, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your ways. Give her strength to see that You are working all things together for good. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
We bless you and your family.
