Good Morning Family,
"Speaking the truth to one another."- Ephesians 4:25
It can be said that lies are like missing breakfast; sooner or later it will catch up to us. If we keep missing breakfast, our energy will be depleted throughout the entire day. Lies are similar in nature. If we continue to lie, it will catch up to us at some point...
There was a popular game show called "To tell the truth." The crux of this game show was for the contestants to see who was telling the truth. The contestants would make wagers on whether or not the depicted stars were being truthful or not. Sooner or later it would be shown whether or not the truth was being told. All the viewer needed to do was hang on until the end of the program...
In this passage of scripture, God reminds us that we should always tell the truth. There is honor in truth telling. When we lie, we have to make up another lie to cover up for the one we told before. In some cases, we have lied so much that we have convinced ourselves that we were telling the truth...
When we tell the truth, we don't have to worry about what we told, who we told, or how we told it...
"Bless the Lord...O my soul and all that is within me...Bless His holy name..."
