We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is in the ER facing what may be a stroke, along with the many other health battles they are enduring—gallbladder complications, stage 4 kidney disease, and other serious conditions. Father God, we cry out to You in this moment of distress, for You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon them, Lord. If it is Your will, bring complete restoration to their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them in their weakness, comfort them in their pain, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give wisdom to the medical team treating them, that they may act according to Your divine guidance.
We also lift up the one who has shared this request, who is dealing with heart and diabetes issues. Heavenly Father, we ask that You would stabilize their health, regulate their blood sugar, and strengthen their heart. Help them to walk in wisdom regarding their diet, exercise, and medical care, trusting in You for their daily bread (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remind them that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that they are to honor You with it (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Grant them discipline and perseverance as they manage their health, and let them experience Your sustaining grace each day.
Our hearts ache for the lost loved ones mentioned here, Lord. We pray for their salvation, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). Father, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, soften their hearts, and break the chains of unbelief. Send laborers into their lives—people who will share the love of Christ with them and lead them to repentance (Matthew 9:38). We declare that no one is too far gone for Your grace, and we trust that You are working even now to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
We also lift up our nation and its leaders, especially our President, before You. Father, we ask for Your divine protection over our country, that You would guard it from harm, both seen and unseen. We pray for a revival in the land, that the people of this nation would turn their hearts back to You. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Luke 10:2). Raise up men and women of God who will stand for righteousness, speak truth, and lead with integrity. We rebuke the spirit of division, confusion, and lawlessness that seeks to tear our nation apart. Let Your will be done in our government, in our courts, and in the hearts of the people (1 Timothy 2:1-2). We declare that no weapon formed against this nation shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the promise that if Your people who are called by Your name will humble themselves and pray, You will hear from heaven and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Lord, we also pray for the spiritual battle raging in our world today. We recognize that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the readiness of the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:13-17). We rebuke every spirit of fear, sickness, and destruction that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in prayer. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
