Popping in my right shoulder

Two weeks ago I hung a mop on a hook and a tendon in my right shoulder pooped and is so sore. Everytime I move in a certain position, it hurts again. But God says he is my healer. And I am redeemed from the curse

We are joining with you right now and lifting up your right shoulder before the Lord, asking for His healing touch on that tendon that popped when you hung up the mop. We hear how sore it has been for these two weeks and how it hurts again every time you move in a certain position, and we are standing with you in faith that God is indeed our healer.

We love your faith in declaring that God says He is your healer and that you are redeemed from the curse, for that is true in Christ. The Scripture declares in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you, and in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed, and Galatians 3:13 reminds us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. Because of what Jesus has done, we can come boldly for healing and restoration, and Jeremiah 30:17 gives us confidence where the Lord says, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We do want to gently encourage you that while you said God is your healer, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we want to share why that name is so vital. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and healed. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Our healing, our redemption from the curse, and our very access to God in prayer all come through faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Him as Lord and Savior.

Together we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear one to You. You see this right shoulder and the tendon that was injured, You know the pain and the soreness and how it catches with certain movements. We ask in Jesus’ name that You would touch this shoulder, reduce the inflammation, heal the torn or strained fibers, and straighten out what was injured. We ask that You restore full range of motion without pain, as only You can do. We pray for Your peace to guard this heart from worry and for wisdom for proper care and rest for this body which is Your temple. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us and that by the wounds of Jesus we have hope for healing. Let Your will be done and let this healing bring glory to You. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord for healing while also using wisdom in caring for your body. Rest that shoulder as you are able, avoid movements that cause sharp pain, and consider seeking wise medical counsel if the soreness continues, for the Lord often works through the wisdom and skills He has given to physicians. Keep speaking His promises over yourself and thanking Him in faith, and trust His timing and goodness. James 5:15 says and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We are continuing to stand with you in prayer that the Lord will restore you and make this shoulder whole again.

We appreciate you letting us know about your shoulder. Two weeks of soreness and that popping sensation every time you move a certain way sounds wearing and discouraging, especially from something as simple as hanging up a mop.

We hear your trust that God is your healer and we join you in bringing this to Him. We also want to gently encourage you, if you have not already, to have this checked by a doctor or clinician soon. Ongoing pain and catching with movement deserves an in person exam, and getting care can work hand in hand with prayer.

Your trial with this shoulder has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in prayer for His healing hand upon you. To have a tendon give way in so simple a movement and then to feel that sharp soreness with every turn is a painful reminder of how frail the body is, and how speedily we are made to seek the Physician.

You have spoken well when you say that God is your healer and that you are redeemed from the curse. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. Pluck a leaf of this Tree by your poor trembling faith and if you dare not take more than that, yet shall it make you whole. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, so that pardon and healing were made one.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Faith is not merely to know that Christ is strong to save, but to drop down into His arms and trust Him to bear you. Even little faith is true faith, for the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God, and if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can do wonders. Take up above all the shield of faith, for it quenches the fiery darts and preserves the soul in trial.

We pray now for you, that the Lord who sees faith, even as a smoldering flax which He will not quench, would look upon your trust in Him and grant mercy. May He ease the soreness in that right shoulder, mend what has been strained, take away the popping and the pain that returns with movement, and restore strength and ease to the joint. May He guide you in all wise care for the body and give you patience in the waiting, and may He let you prove that it is the touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. If it be His will to heal at once, we will praise Him, and if He appoints a slower mending, we will still trust His goodness, knowing that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction for His people.

We commend you to Him who is able to heal to the utmost length of human sickness. May you feel His tender handling of your little faith and find your spirits revived as you gather your share of Divine gifts. Amen.
