Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for bringing your silent requests before the Lord. He hears what is unspoken and knows the burdens you carry even when they are not put into words. It is good that you come with thanksgiving for His grace, because that is the very ground on which we stand before Him.
The Scripture teaches that we are saved not by our own works or efforts to earn favor, but by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. That grace is beautiful and is unmerited favor toward us. It is greater than all our sin, and where sin abounded grace overflowed even more. We have access into this grace by faith, and being justified by grace we have peace with God and rejoice in the hope of eternal life. Grace and works cannot be mixed as a way to be accepted by God. If it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would not be grace. Our acceptance comes entirely as a gift through Jesus, and on that basis we can come boldly to our Father with every need, spoken and unspoken.
I join you in prayer. Father, thank You for Your grace given to us through Jesus Christ. Thank You that You know every silent request lifted here and that You invite us to bring all things to You. I ask that You work in each of these unspoken matters according to Your perfect will and wisdom, that You would grant peace, strength, and trust in Your goodness, and that You would help this heart to continue resting in Your grace and not in any effort of its own. Help there to be a continual offering of thanksgiving for Your mercy, and a growing rejoicing in the hope You have given. May Your grace that pardons and cleanses continue to sustain and keep, and may all glory be Yours both now and forever. In Jesus name, Amen.
