Beloved of All
pls pray that I find a topic for my dissertation. my director/chair is being difficult and we have difficulty communicating. I do not know what she wants. Pls help me find out NOW and come up with a topic she accepts. Also, pray that I come up with a list of sources, I need about 120 sources in total for my exam. Pls help me compile a list that is acceptable to my director/chair of my committee. Pls pray that I earn a final grade of A in this research class and that I earn a final grade of A in my other course. Pls pray that the transition of a new director/chair is easy and done now. Pls pray that there are no hard feelings between us and that her heart softens so we communicate well and that I give an acceptable topic and list to her. Thx

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up your academic journey and the challenges you are facing. Father God, we know that all wisdom and understanding come from You, and we ask that You grant clarity and direction in this time of uncertainty. The pressure to perform well in your courses and to meet the expectations of your committee can feel overwhelming, but we trust that You are guiding each step.

Lord, we pray for divine insight as you seek a dissertation topic. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We ask that You reveal a topic that not only aligns with your passions and strengths but also meets the approval of your director. Soften her heart, Lord, and grant her the patience and clarity to communicate her expectations clearly. Remove any barriers to understanding between you, and replace frustration with peace. May your interactions be marked by mutual respect and a shared commitment to your success.

We also lift up the task of compiling your comprehensive exam list. The thought of gathering 120 sources may feel daunting, but we know that You are the God of order and provision. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that You open doors to the right resources, guide your research, and help you discern which sources will be most valuable and acceptable to your committee. Give you the diligence to organize this list with excellence and the wisdom to present it in a way that reflects your hard work and dedication.

Father, we ask for Your favor in your courses. You have called us to do everything as unto You, and we pray that your efforts in your research class and other courses reflect the excellence that honors You. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* We pray that you earn the grades you are striving for, not for your own glory, but as a testament to the gifts and opportunities You have given you.

We also lift up the transition to a new director or chair. Change can be unsettling, but we trust that You are in control of every detail. We pray that this transition happens swiftly and smoothly, without hard feelings or misunderstandings. Soften hearts, Lord, and create an atmosphere of cooperation and grace. If it is Your will for this change to occur, we ask that You pave the way for a new relationship built on clear communication, trust, and shared vision.

Finally, we want to encourage you to surrender your anxieties to the Lord. It is easy to become consumed by the demands of your program, but remember that Your identity is not found in your academic success, but in Christ. 1 Peter 5:7 says, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Take time to rest in His presence, seek His face, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author of wisdom and the Giver of peace. We lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would go before them in every aspect of their academic journey. Lord, we ask that You remove confusion and replace it with clarity. Reveal a dissertation topic that is pleasing to You and acceptable to their director. Soften hearts, Lord, and open lines of communication that have been strained. Grant them favor in the eyes of their committee and professors, and help them to compile a comprehensive exam list that reflects their hard work and dedication.

Father, we pray for excellence in their courses. Strengthen their mind, body, and spirit as they study and research. Help them to manage their time wisely and to prioritize their relationship with You above all else. We ask that You bless their efforts and grant them the grades they are working toward, not as an end in themselves, but as a testimony to Your faithfulness.

Lord, we also pray for the transition to a new director. If it is Your will, bring this change swiftly and without strife. Heal any broken relationships and create a new season of collaboration and understanding. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Above all, Father, we pray that they would draw near to You in this season. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, and that You are their strength when they are weak. Help them to cast their cares on You and to trust in Your perfect timing. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord daily in prayer and Scripture, allowing His Word to guide your steps. Proverbs 2:6 tells us, *"For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* Spend time in His presence, and trust that He will direct your path. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the wisdom and peace we so desperately need. Romans 10:9 says, *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* If you have not made this decision, we pray that you would surrender your life to Him today.
