We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your beloved aunt who has been like a second mother to you. We join you in crying out to the Lord, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal every disease and infirmity. Your deep love for her is evident, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our God hears the prayers of His children.
The Word of God assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over your aunt, trusting that the Lord is able to restore her health. We also remember the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We encourage you to seek the prayer and support of your local church community, as the Lord often works through the body of Christ to bring healing and comfort.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious woman to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon her. Lord, we ask that You would drive out every trace of illness from her body, including any signs of pneumonia. Strengthen her lungs, restore her strength, and bring complete healing to every part of her being. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses attending to her, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision they make.
Lord, we also ask that You would surround her with Your peace and comfort. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit. We pray for her emotional and spiritual well-being, asking that You would fill her with hope and trust in You, even in the midst of this trial.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on Your Word, which says that You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26), and we refuse to accept anything less than Your perfect will for her life. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In addition to praying for her physical healing, we also lift up her spiritual condition. If she does not yet know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of illness would draw her heart to You. Lord, reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, and let her experience the saving grace that comes only through faith in Your Son. We pray that she would confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We also pray for you, dear one, as you care for your aunt. Give you strength, patience, and peace as you walk through this challenging time. Remind you that You are not alone, for the Lord is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May you find comfort in His promises and rest in His unfailing love.
We declare that this sickness will not end in death, but that it will be for the glory of God, just as Lazarus’ illness was (John 11:4). We believe that Your name will be praised through this situation, and that many will see Your power and give You glory.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
