I live with my daughter, her husband, their two daughters ages 13 and 15 and their son 2. they are expecting another baby. the tension in this household is toxic. my older granddaughter is adopted and the difference in how the two girls are treated is unbearable. the older one is never told she is doing a good job even though she has worked very very hard to bring her grades up to honor role level. she is given punishments with no idea of when they will end. tonight she begged me to let her go to live with her friends. she threatened to run away. when i try to talk to my daughter she accuses me of interfering. her husbnd is no help...he refuses to help because if he does my daughter gives him the silent treatment for days. I pray and pray for her to see what she is doing and for her to get help for whatever pain and anguish she may feel that causes her to act this way. my older granddaughter can be a handful...but no more than other teenage girls. and certainly no more than my daughter was. I am told that I will be asked to leave if I interfere. I contribute more than half of the living expensses. I am not sure how they will get along. I am looking in the paper for apartments but I am afraid of what might happen here if there is no one watching out. Please dear God work a miracle in this household before it is too late
