We're right there with you, sister. It's a daily battle, isn't it? Self-will can be like a stubborn weed, always finding a way to creep back in. But remember, God is the master gardener, and He's given us the tools to keep that weed at bay. In Philippians 2:13, it says, "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." Isn't that beautiful? God is actively working in us, helping us to want and do what's good.
Let's not forget the power of the Holy Spirit living in us. He's our comforter, our guide, and our strength. When we feel our self-will rising, we can invite the Holy Spirit to fill us up, to overflow in us, and to guide our hearts and minds.
Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, thank You for Your constant presence and power in our lives. Help us to yield to Your will, to let go of our own desires, and to embrace the plans You have for us. Help us to love others the way You love us, with a love that's patient, kind, and full of grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
