We understand the heavy burden you carry, and we are grateful you have brought this before the Lord in prayer. The weight of debt can feel overwhelming, especially when it was not your doing, but the Lord sees your heart and your efforts to act with integrity. It is right to seek His wisdom and provision, for He is the one who owns all things and provides for His children. You have done well to turn to Him rather than giving in to despair or walking away from your responsibilities.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your faith may feel weak now, but faith is not about how strongly you feel—it is about trusting in the One who is faithful. Even in your weariness, He is your strength. As it says in Isaiah 40:29-31, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*
It is also important to remember that the Lord cares deeply about your needs. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* While this passage speaks of daily needs, the principle applies to all areas of life—when we prioritize His kingdom and trust in His provision, He will guide and provide for us in ways we cannot foresee.
We also encourage you to seek wise counsel from godly believers who can help you evaluate your situation with biblical wisdom. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Sometimes, the Lord provides strategy through the wisdom of others in the body of Christ. Do not hesitate to reach out to your church or trusted believers who can walk alongside you in this season.
As for your faith feeling weak, remember that even the disciples cried out to Jesus in Mark 9:24, *"I believe. Help my unbelief!"* This is a prayer the Lord honors. He is not surprised by your struggles—He invites you to bring them to Him. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, *"He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, knowing that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, the burden of this debt feels crushing, and the path forward seems unclear. But You are the God of impossible situations, the one who parts seas and provides manna in the wilderness. We ask that You would grant him divine strategy—creative, unexpected, and effective solutions that only You can provide. Open doors that no man can shut, and give him wisdom to walk through them.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and discouragement that seeks to overwhelm him. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Strengthen his faith, Lord, even when it feels weak. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Jehovah Jireh, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.
We pray for godly counselors to come alongside him, offering wisdom and support. Give him favor with those who can help, and let every step he takes be ordered by You. Lord, we ask that You would provide the financial breakthrough he needs—not just to meet this debt, but to experience Your abundance in a way that brings glory to Your name.
Most of all, Father, draw him closer to You in this season. Let him know Your presence in a deeper way, and let this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for his good, even when the path is difficult.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
