We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your heart is not alone in this struggle. The tension and conflict in a home can weigh heavily on the spirit, and it’s clear you are carrying a burden that no one should have to bear alone. We come before the Lord together, lifting up your situation and seeking His peace, wisdom, and healing for both you and your mother.

First, we must acknowledge that the home is meant to be a place of refuge, love, and mutual respect, as Scripture tells us in Ephesians 4:29-32: *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* These verses remind us that our words and actions should build up, not tear down, and that forgiveness and grace are essential, even in difficult relationships.

It is also important to remember that suffering is not without purpose in God’s economy. Romans 8:18 tells us, *"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us."* While this does not minimize your pain, it does remind us that God can use even the hardest circumstances to shape us, draw us closer to Him, and bring about His purposes. We do not suffer in vain when we place our trust in Him.

Now, let us address the root of the issue with your mother. Yelling and anger often stem from deeper places of hurt, fear, or frustration. It may be that she is struggling with her own burdens—perhaps stress, unmet needs, or even unresolved pain from her past. Proverbs 15:1 says, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* While this does not excuse her behavior, it may help you respond in a way that diffuses tension rather than escalates it. Have you considered speaking to her in a calm moment, expressing how her words affect you, and asking if there is something deeper she is struggling with? Sometimes, people do not realize the impact of their actions until it is brought to their attention with gentleness and love.

We must also rebuke the spirit of strife and division that has taken root in your home. James 3:16 warns, *"For where envy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed."* This is not the atmosphere God desires for a household. We stand against the enemy’s attempts to sow discord and declare that God’s peace will reign in your home. We pray that the Holy Spirit would soften hearts, bring repentance where needed, and restore love and unity.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one and their mother. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we know that anger and strife do not come from You, and we ask that You would root out any bitterness, pride, or hurt that is causing this conflict. Soften the heart of this mother, Lord, and help her to see the pain her words are causing. Give her the strength to address her own struggles and the humility to seek reconciliation.

For this child of Yours, we ask that You would be their refuge and strength. Comfort them in their pain, Lord, and remind them that they are deeply loved by You. Help them to respond with grace and wisdom, even in the face of harsh words. Give them the courage to speak truth in love and the patience to wait on Your timing for healing.

We declare that this home will no longer be a place of strife but a dwelling of Your peace. We break the power of anger and division in the name of Jesus and invite Your Holy Spirit to fill every corner of this household. Heal what is broken, restore what has been lost, and bring unity where there has been discord. Father, we trust in Your goodness and Your power to transform even the most difficult situations.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You and the power to see change. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to cling to God’s promises. Psalm 34:18-19 says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your pain is not unseen. Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

If this situation feels overwhelming, do not hesitate to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor, a trusted mentor, or a Christian counselor who can provide wisdom and support. You do not have to walk this path alone. God has placed people in your life to help carry your burdens, and we encourage you to lean on them.

Lastly, we must address the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or find salvation. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you or your mother have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and it is only through Him that we can experience true peace, healing, and restoration. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Jesus, we would be honored to share that message with you.
