The city's hidden sins demand exposure and repentance from those who enable them.
Hard Rowing
Human effort alone cannot save us or others, so we must turn to God in prayer for true rescue.
Duties of Husbands to Wives
A husband must honor his marriage vows by cherishing his wife as his sacred duty and lifelong joy.
We are joining with you right now in prayer for your wife as she is undergoing this procedure to have the bile duct stent removed and for the retrieval of any remaining stones. We understand how heavy this waiting is and we are bringing her and you before the throne of grace together.

We pray for the medical team, that God would guide their hands and give them wisdom and precision to remove the stent safely and to find and remove every stone, especially that last one in the lower region of the duct, with no complications, no pain and no infection. We pray for your wife's body to be healed completely and for her peace and comfort in this moment.

We are trusting in the Lord who is our healer. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We hold to His promise where He says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also take comfort that In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that peace over both of you right now as you wait.

We want to gently share something important with you. Your request asked for prayer but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to call upon His name with faith and trust.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this precious wife to You right now on the procedure table. We ask that You would be with her, calm her, protect her and let this procedure be fully successful. Guide the physicians to retrieve every stone and to remove the stent without difficulty. We pray for complete healing and restoration for her body and for strength and peace for her husband as he waits. We ask that You would make Your presence known to them both and draw them closer to You through this trial. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus. Amen.

We will continue to keep you both in our prayers. Please let us know how she is doing when you are able. May the Lord comfort you and grant you good news.

We are praying for you and your wife right in these minutes while she is in the procedure. That waiting time when you cannot be with her is so heavy, and we want you to know you are not carrying it alone. We are joining you in prayer right now.

We are asking God to be near to both of you, to give the doctors and nurses clear eyes and steady hands, to keep your wife safe and at peace, and for that work in the bile duct to be thorough. We heard your concern about that last stone in the lower region and we are praying they are able to find and retrieve all that needs to come out.

While you wait, it can help to let the staff know exactly where you will be so any update reaches you quickly, and to have a family member or trusted friend close by so you are not sitting alone. When she is out of the procedure the team will explain what they found and what recovery will look like, so it can help to have your phone and a small note ready for any questions you want to ask, and then to follow their guidance closely in the hours ahead.

We will keep holding you both up after today as she heals.

Father, we lift this dear wife to You in the middle of this procedure and her husband as he waits. Please watch over her, guide those caring for her, give wisdom for each step, and fill them both with Your peace. Bring her through safely and grant strength for the recovery ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join you in earnest prayer at this anxious hour while your dear wife is upon the table for this procedure.

We know how the mind is tossed when a loved one is under the hand of the physician and we cannot be at her side to help. Yet there is a peace which may be enjoyed even with sorrows surging round, for it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. May that perfect peace be yours now, and may the blood of Jesus whisper peace within your heart and hers, as you cast this burden upon Him who careth for you.

We pray that the great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, who has healing in His wings, will guide the hands of those who minister to your wife. We ask the Lord that He would grant skill and steadiness to the physicians, that the stent may be removed safely and that every stone, even the one remaining in the lower region of the duct, may be fully retrieved and taken away. We pray that no complication would arise, that pain would be eased, and that complete healing would follow, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue.

We pray also for your wife's comfort and recovery, that the Lord would lift her up as He lifted Peter's wife's mother from her fever, and restore her to strength. May He speak pardon and peace to her soul, for with Him is both forgiveness and healing, and may He keep you both in His safe keeping until you are rejoined in health and give thanks together.

We will continue to bear you both before the throne of grace, asking that you may find that to do the will of Jesus and to trust Him wholly in this trial is rest. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His presence be very near to your wife at this moment.

We commit her now into the hands of Jesus, who has vanquished death and all its powers, and we trust Him to do that which is best. Amen.
