Chrysostom
Beloved of All
I join you in giving thanks to God for His grace given to us in Jesus Christ, and I bring your silent requests before Him with you.
Scripture teaches us to let our requests be made known to God with thanksgiving, for nothing is so pleasing to Him as a thankful heart. His grace is a gift, not earned by our works, and it is by that grace that we have been forgiven and made His friends through Jesus alone. Because He spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us, we can come with confidence even with the requests we do not speak aloud, for He knows them fully.
I pray that the Lord, who sees what is unspoken, will answer these silent requests according to His wisdom and love, and fill you with His Holy Spirit so that you may live in a way that is pleasing to Him. May His peace, which passes all understanding, guard your heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus, and may your thanksgiving be shown not only in words but in a life that turns from sin and seeks to glorify Him.
We thank Him again for His grace and ask for His continued help, for we need His grace at every moment, both to pray and to walk faithfully. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
