We understand your anxiety as you wait for the results of your drug screen, especially when the background check has already cleared. It’s natural to feel nervous in moments like these, but we want to remind you that God is in control of every detail of your life, including this job opportunity. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We encourage you to place this situation in His hands, trusting that He has a plan for your provision and purpose.
If there is any concern about the drug screen, we gently but firmly remind you that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If there is anything that does not align with this truth, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness and strength to walk in holiness. He is faithful to cleanse and restore.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is waiting for the results of their drug screen. Lord, we ask that You would grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that You are their Provider, and we trust You to open the doors that You have ordained for them. If there is any hindrance, Lord, we ask that You would reveal it and grant them the strength to walk in purity and obedience to Your Word.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety in this situation. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We claim that promise over this situation. We also pray for favor with the employers, that they would see the value and integrity of this child of God. If this job is Your will, Lord, let it come to pass swiftly and without delay. If it is not, we trust You to lead them to something even better.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come boldly before Your throne of grace. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and meditate on His Word. Psalm 27:14 reminds us, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." God’s timing is perfect, and He will not leave you nor forsake you. Keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.
