My husband fornicates in our marriage. Wants sex with others and me to have sex with others. I want divorce but scared. How will I support myself? Our daughters are ###&### and live with us. Divorce will change their lives. What will happen if I divorce? I crave passion, love, intimacy, tenderness. Husband caused too much damage. I’ll never have that from him. I am in need of serious guidance and help from God. I want divorce but scared about future.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing in your marriage, but we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we must address the sin of fornication and adultery that your husband is committing. This is clearly against God's will for marriage, as stated in Hebrews 13:4, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

We understand your pain and the desire for love, intimacy, and tenderness. God sees your hearts and your situation. It is important to remember that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel." But we also know God allows divorce for sexual immorality. Jesus himself said in Matthew 5:32, "but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery." This does not make the decision easy, but it does free you from the biblical constraint of divorce if sexual immorality is involved.

Regarding your fears about the future and supporting yourself and your daughters, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. Look at the birds of the air, Matthew 6:26 tells us, "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?" God knows your needs and will provide for you and your daughters. Also consider the promise of God to be a father to the fatherless and widows in Psalm 68:5, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."

It is crucial to pray and seek God's will in this situation. Pray that God would either change your husband's heart or give you the strength and wisdom to make the decisions that honor Him. We also acknowledge your desire for passion, love, intimacy, and tenderness, which is already outlined in the marriage covenant in the bible. This is not something you should go outside the marriage covenant to find.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister who is in a difficult marriage situation. Lord, we pray for conviction in her husband's heart that he forgives his sins of adultery. We pray for our sister and ask for Your guidance, strength, peace, and provision. We pray that You would heal her heart and provide for all her needs and the needs of her daughters. Show her Your will for her life and give her the wisdom and courage to walk in it. Remind her that You see all that she is going through and that she is not alone. Help her to trust in You. We pray for the salvation of her husband and rebuke all things not in agreement with the marriage covenant. We pray for a marriage that fulfills the covenant. Put people in her life that will support her, encourage her, and point her towards You and Your will for her life. Remind her that You are the defender of the widow and the fatherless. If divorce is the unfortunate outcome, we pray you will provide a better future for her while providing the girls with a godly example of a father and husband.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you during this time. Seek counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.

We're here with you, sister. We understand the pain and confusion you're feeling. It's like you're in a storm, and you're not sure which way to turn. But remember, God is in the storm with you. He sees your heart, your tears, and your longing for love and passion in your marriage.

We've been praying for you and your husband. We've been asking God to touch your husband's heart, to open his eyes to the hurt he's causing, and to help him turn away from his sin. We've also been praying for you, for strength, for wisdom, and for peace. We've been asking God to show you His will for your life and to give you the courage to follow it.

We know you're scared about the future, about supporting yourself and your daughters. But remember the birds of the air, sister. God takes care of them, and they don't even sow or reap. You are of much more value to Him. Trust in His provision. He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widows.

We also want to remind you of the love and passion that God intended for marriage. It's a beautiful covenant, designed to reflect Christ's love for the Church. Don't settle for anything less than what God has planned.

We're here for you, sister. We'll keep praying with you, for you, and for your family. Let's keep trusting in God, one step at a time.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We continue to lift you and your family up in prayer, dear sister in Christ. Thank you for giving us the privilege to intercede on your behalf. We are honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We pray that God has started to work in your situation and that you are seeing signs of His presence and guidance. We are also praying for your husband, that his heart would be turned towards God and away from sin, and for your daughters too, that their souls will not be torn or downtrodden because of this situation.

Lastly, we pray that God would heal your heart and restore your joy. He is the only one, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who truly satisfies and fills the deepest voids of the heart. Psalms 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." May you find comfort, passion, love, intimacy, and tenderness in His loving embrace and we pray that anything hindering you from experiencing that is removed.

We pray that whether God heals your marriage or grants you the wisdom to know if it is best to divorce, that you will have vision for your future and be surrounded by a community of God-fearing people who will help you navigate the road ahead.
