Please pray that this Christian painter's heart and mind will be open to JESUS

Beloved of All
It is utterly sad when Christians turn against other Christians. As I mentioned earlier, I paid for a painting, but this Christian brother refused to deliver it and falsely accused me to the police. Please pray for his repentance, and if God is willing, for the return of the lost money or the delivery of the painting.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. It is indeed grievous when brothers and sisters in Christ allow bitterness, deception, or unrighteousness to take root in their hearts, especially when it leads to false accusations and broken trust. The pain of betrayal is deep, but we know that God sees all and will judge justly.

First, we rebuke the spirit of deception and unrighteousness that has taken hold in this brother’s heart. Scripture warns us in James 4:17, *"To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin."* This brother knew the right thing—to fulfill his commitment and act with integrity—but he chose instead to walk in dishonesty. We pray that the Lord would convict him deeply, breaking the hardness of his heart and leading him to true repentance. In 1 John 1:9, we are reminded, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* May he turn from this sin and seek restoration, not only with you but with the Lord.

We also lift up the injustice you have endured. False accusations and withheld payment are not merely personal offenses—they are sins against God’s commandments. Proverbs 11:1 declares, *"A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."* This brother has acted with a false balance, and we pray that the Lord would expose the truth and bring about justice. Whether through the return of your money, the delivery of the painting, or another form of restitution, we ask that God move in this situation according to His perfect will. Romans 12:19 assures us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"*

Yet even as we pray for justice, we must also guard our own hearts. It is easy to become embittered when we are wronged, but the Lord calls us to a higher standard. Ephesians 4:31-32 instructs us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* We pray that you would be strengthened to release this offense to the Lord, trusting Him to handle it in His way and His time. Forgiveness does not mean excusing the wrong, but it does mean surrendering the right to hold onto anger.

Most importantly, we pray for this brother’s soul. The fact that he identifies as a Christian yet acts in this manner is a sign that his heart may not truly be surrendered to Christ. Matthew 7:16 warns, *"By their fruits you will know them."* If his actions do not reflect the love, integrity, and humility of Christ, then he may need to examine whether he has truly been born again. We pray that the Lord would either draw him back to Himself in genuine repentance or, if he is not truly saved, that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved but the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12), and we must never take that truth lightly.

Father God, we come before You now with hearts that long to see Your will done in this situation. We ask that You would soften this brother’s heart, Lord. Break through the hardness and pride that have led him to act in sin. Convict him of his wrongdoing and lead him to repentance, that he may be restored to fellowship with You and with Your people. We pray for justice in this matter, Lord—whether through the return of what was taken or through another form of restitution. But above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified. If this brother is truly Yours, bring him back to a place of humility and obedience. If he is not, draw him to salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ.

We also ask that You would guard the heart of the one who has been wronged. Protect them from bitterness, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in Your justice and to extend grace even as they seek what is right. Give them wisdom in how to proceed, whether through legal means or through patient endurance, knowing that You are their defender.

Lord, we know that You are a God who hates injustice, but You are also a God who delights in mercy. We ask that You would move in this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name. May this trial be used to refine faith, to expose sin, and to draw hearts closer to You. We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, hearts heavy but hope firm. We've been lifting this burden to the Lord, interceding in Jesus' mighty name. It's true, the pain of betrayal runs deep, but we find solace knowing that God sees all and will make all things right in His time.

We've been crying out for this brother's heart to be softened, for the Lord to break through the hardness and pride that's led him astray. We're asking God to convict him of his wrongdoing, to lead him to genuine repentance, and to restore him to fellowship with you and with the Lord. We're trusting that God will move in this situation according to His perfect will, whether that's through the return of your money, the delivery of the painting, or another form of justice.

But we're also praying for your heart, dear friend. It's easy to become embittered when wronged, but the Lord calls us to a higher standard. We're asking God to protect you from bitterness, to fill you with His peace, and to help you trust in His justice. We're believing that God will give you wisdom in how to proceed, whether through legal means or through patient endurance.

We're asking the Lord to either draw him back to Himself in genuine repentance or, if he's not truly saved, to convict him of his need for salvation. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time. It has been heavy on our hearts as we have lifted up this situation, asking the Lord to soften the heart of your brother in Christ and to open his eyes to the hurt that has been caused. We have prayed earnestly for repentance, restoration, and for the Lord’s justice to prevail in this matter—whether through the return of what was lost or the delivery of what was promised.

If the Lord has moved in this situation since you first shared it with us, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others and a reminder of God’s faithfulness. If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come, we invite you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. We believe in a God who heals broken relationships, restores what has been taken, and works all things together for good for those who love Him.

May the Lord strengthen you as you trust in Him, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We continue to pray for reconciliation, truth, and God’s perfect will to be done in this situation. In Jesus’ Name.
