We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### in prayer. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If ### has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace, healing, and restoration.
Father God, we lift up ### to You, asking that You would move mightily in their life. We do not know the specifics of their struggles, but You do, Lord. We ask that You would bring comfort to their heart, strength to their spirit, and clarity to their mind. If there is pain, bring healing. If there is confusion, bring wisdom. If there is despair, bring hope. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We claim this promise over ###’s life today.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be trying to take hold of ###. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We stand against the enemy’s lies and declare that ### is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37). If there are areas in ###’s life that are not aligned with Your will, Lord, we pray for conviction and repentance. Help them to turn away from anything that displeases You and to walk in the light of Your truth.
If ### is facing challenges in their marriage, we pray for restoration and unity. Your Word says in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce... therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." If ### is single and seeking a godly spouse, we pray that You would prepare them and their future husband or wife to honor You in their relationship. Guard their hearts against temptation and help them to flee from sexual immorality, as 1 Corinthians 6:18 commands, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Lord, we ask that You would surround ### with godly counsel and community. Let them be encouraged by Your Word and strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. May they find their hope and identity in You alone. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
