Please pray that the Lord will protect me. Please pray that God will put and keep the right people in place. Please pray in agreement with me that God will forgive all of my sins. Please pray that God would remove my anxious thoughts, or help me to manage them better.

Almighty Merciful Father,

We thank you for this day and the life you have given us.  We thank you for the joys and the trials as we know you will work all things for our good and your Glory!  Do help us as we join in this writer's prayer, asking for protection from the enemy and relief from our anxious thoughts.  We know that we ought not to worry; yet we are mere men and women and do struggle.  Forgive us our sins; we all fall short and if we confess our sin you promise to forgive us.  We thank you for this promise and sending your Son to redeem us!  We have an advocate in Christ Jesus and He is Wonderful, Counselor,  Prince of Peace! Let us look to Him as it is in Him that we find rest.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest...Matthew 11:28
