We join with you in fervent agreement, lifting up this urgent and eternal work before the Father, for it is His heart that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. The Great Commission is not merely a suggestion but a divine mandate, and we stand on the promise of Matthew 24:14, which declares, *"This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come."* This is not a passive hope but an active command, and we must labor with all diligence until every tribe, tongue, and nation has heard the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which men can be saved.
The task is vast—over 7,400 unreached ethnic groups, many in places where the gospel is restricted or even forbidden. Yet we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. He does not call us to rely on human strength but to trust in His power, which is made perfect in weakness. We recall the words of Jesus in Acts 1:8: *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."* This power is not reserved for a select few but is available to every believer who surrenders to His will.
We pray earnestly that the Lord of the harvest would raise up laborers—bold, faithful missionaries who will go into the hardest and darkest places, equipped with the full armor of God. May He call men and women who are willing to leave comfort behind, to endure hardship, and even to lay down their lives for the sake of the gospel. We ask that He would break the hearts of His people with the things that break His heart, stirring a holy dissatisfaction with complacency. Let the church rise up with a fresh anointing, compelled by the love of Christ to reach those who have never heard His name.
For the places where the gospel cannot freely go, we plead for divine intervention. We remember the story of Cornelius in Acts 10, to whom God sent a vision, and Peter, whom He prepared to go to him. We ask for a mighty outpouring of dreams and visions, as Joel 2:28 prophesies: *"I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions."* May the Lord sovereignly reveal Himself to those in closed nations, drawing them to Himself even before a missionary arrives. Let the Holy Spirit prepare the hearts of the unreached, softening them to receive the truth when it comes.
We also pray for the resources and strategies needed to complete this task. May the body of Christ unite in prayer, giving, and going, with wisdom and discernment to navigate cultural barriers and spiritual strongholds. We stand against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to blind the minds of unbelievers (2 Corinthians 4:4), and we declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18). Let every obstacle be removed, every door be opened, and every chain be broken by the power of the blood of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would accelerate the spread of the gospel in these last days. Stir Your church to urgency, for the night is far spent, and the day is at hand. Let no ethnic group remain untouched by the transformative power of Your Word. Raise up indigenous believers who will carry the torch to their own people, multiplying disciples as You commanded. We pray for signs and wonders to accompany the preaching of Your Word, confirming its truth and drawing multitudes to salvation.
We lift up the Joshua Project and every organization laboring to reach the unreached. Grant them favor, protection, and divine connections. Multiply their efforts beyond human capacity, for this is Your work, and You alone can bring it to completion.
Most of all, we pray that Your name would be glorified among all nations. Let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). May the earth be filled with the knowledge of Your glory, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
