Please pray that my wife will abandon her addiction to alcohol. Our marriage is at the breaking point as I can no longer tolerate the misery that is upon my home. Our son recognizes and reacts to the her alcohol driven behaviors and I cannot allow him to remain in this environment. An otherwise kind and good person, she has a lifetime alcohol problem and it must end now before it results in a failed marriage and inflicts emotional danage upon all involved. Thank you very much!

Update:  Thank you for all of your prayers, and I appreciate anyone willing to continue to do so. 

  It is clear that she is choosing alcohol over her husband and famliy.  She is committed to a divorce.  Certainly it is deeply disappointing and sad but I cannot say that I am surprised.  I believe that God is in control and guiding our paths in life.  Perhaps losing her family and home will be the door to an awakening.

 I am stunned at how alcohol can cause someone to find fault with everything and everyone (except those that don't challenge the behaviors and addiction).  I'm witnessing her making decisions that will help no one and hurt many.  To watch my son cry and tell me he wants her to leave is gut wrenching.  I hope that anyone reading this will be able to take advantage of any opportunity to counsel young people on how/why to avoid relationships with people having tendencies for addiction.  This is a really dark period for my son and me . . . . and perhaps most of all for her.

Lord continue to touch this family and bring restoration to them...touch their son and let him see You in his fathers example...bringing You honor and glory through this whole mess.  Lord rebuke this spirit of addiction and bring her to her right mind...cover her with mercy and let grace lead her to the place of healing. Heal her heart and her sadness.  Lord lift her up and let her be made whole before You in Jesus name...take her by Your hand and guide her to a place of Peace ....touch my brother with hope and bring favor and blessings to his home may his feet walk in full obedience to You and Your will may he stand still and know that You are God...bless him with wisdom and heal his broken heart in Jesus name we pray...
