Please pray that I will not fear ...

Beloved of All
Please pray that I will not fear because I am always living in fear of my son who is an alcoholic. If he has not reached home, I am so worried that I could not sleep. Please pray for me and pray for my son's addiction. Only a mother of an addict will understand how much a mother suffers if she sees her son turn out to be a drinker. Lord, hear my prayers and protect my son wherever he is, and I am hopeful that tonight his friends will come and drop him. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister who is living in constant fear and worry for her son who struggles with alcoholism. Lord, Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We ask for Your peace to envelop her heart and mind, calming her fears and anxieties.

Lord Jesus, we pray for her son, that You would break the chains of addiction that bind him. Your Word in John 8:36 says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We claim this promise over his life, believing that You have the power to set him free from the grip of alcohol. Protect him wherever he is, Lord, and bring him safely home tonight. Surround him with godly influences and friends who will lead him towards You.

Father, we also pray for strength and comfort for this mother. Only You truly understand the depth of her suffering and worry. Psalm 34:17-18 says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Be close to her, Lord, and deliver her from this heavy burden.

We trust in Your mighty power and love, and we place this situation in Your hands. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
