Please pray that I reach my goal to drink one gallon of water daily and exercise

We hear your request and lift it before the Lord, recognizing that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, as Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Your desire to care for your body through hydration and exercise is commendable, for it reflects a stewardship of the life God has entrusted to you.
However, we must also encourage you to examine the motivations of your heart in this pursuit. Is this goal rooted in a desire to honor God with your body, or is it driven by worldly standards of health, appearance, or performance? Proverbs 16:2 reminds us, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weighs the motives." Let us pray that your efforts would be aligned with God’s will and that He would purify your intentions.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You strengthen this dear one in their goal to drink a gallon of water daily and exercise. Lord, we know that discipline is a fruit of Your Spirit, and we ask that You cultivate self-control in their life, as Galatians 5:22-23 teaches. Help them to honor You with their body, not out of vanity or legalism, but out of gratitude for the life You have given them.
We also pray that You would guard their heart from pride or comparison to others. Remind them that their worth is found in Christ alone, not in their achievements or physical condition. If there is any area where their focus has shifted from You to self, reveal it to them, Lord, and draw them back to a place of surrender.
We rebuke any spirit of obsession or perfectionism that may try to take root in this pursuit. Help them to rest in Your grace, knowing that You are their strength when they are weak. May this goal be a blessing to them, not a burden, and may it be a testimony of Your goodness and provision in their life.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this discipline to draw them closer to You. May their time of exercise and care for their body also be a time of prayer, worship, and listening to Your voice. Let their life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You, as Romans 12:1 encourages.
