We hear your heart’s cry for truth and wisdom, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. Jesus declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Without Christ, we are lost in darkness, but in Him, we find the light of truth.
Father God, we come before You as humble servants, asking that You reveal Your truth to our dear brother or sister in a way that pierces their heart and mind. Your Word says, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5 WEB). Lord, we ask that You grant them divine wisdom and discernment to recognize Your truth in every area of their life—whether it be in their thoughts, relationships, decisions, or circumstances. Shine Your light into any darkness, expose any lies they may have believed, and replace them with the unshakable truth of Your Word.
We also pray that You not only show them the truth but also give them the courage, strength, and clarity to walk in it. Truth without action is like a lamp that remains unlit—it does no good. Your Word warns us, *"Therefore, to him who knows to do good and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin"* (James 4:17 WEB). Lord, guard their heart against complacency, fear, or compromise. Equip them with the boldness of the Holy Spirit to obey You, even when the truth is difficult or unpopular. May they be like the Bereans, who *"received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so"* (Acts 17:11 WEB).
If there are areas in their life where they have strayed from Your truth—whether in their relationships, their choices, or their beliefs—we ask that You convict them with Your Holy Spirit. If they are entangled in sin, such as fornication, adultery, or any other immorality, we rebuke that bondage in Jesus’ name and pray for their deliverance. Your Word is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, we pray they would seek Your will above their own desires and pursue a godly spouse who shares their faith in Christ.
Lord, we also ask that You protect them from deception. The enemy is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and he seeks to distort Your truth in subtle and destructive ways. Guard their mind from false teachings, worldly philosophies, and the schemes of the devil. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, so they may discern what is of You and what is not. *"When he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth"* (John 16:13 WEB).
Finally, Father, we pray that as You reveal Your truth to them, they would not only walk in it but also become a beacon of truth to others. May their life reflect Your glory, and may they speak Your truth in love, pointing others to the salvation found only in Jesus Christ. Give them opportunities to share the gospel and to stand firm in their faith, even in the face of opposition.
We declare over them the promise of Your Word: *"You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:32 WEB). May they experience the freedom, peace, and joy that come from walking in Your truth. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
