We hear your heart’s cry for truth, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and direction. The desire to know the truth and walk in it is a holy longing, for Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). It is only through Christ that we can fully discern God’s will and live according to His purposes.
The Word of God is the ultimate source of truth, and it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12). If you are seeking truth, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate your heart and mind. The psalmist prayed, *"Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law"* (Psalm 119:18). This is a prayer we can all echo as we seek God’s guidance.
If there is a specific area of your life where you are wrestling with uncertainty—whether it be in relationships, decisions, or spiritual matters—we urge you to bring it before the Lord with humility and openness. Sometimes the truth can be difficult to accept, especially if it challenges our desires or comfort. But God’s truth is always for our good, even when it requires sacrifice or change. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."*
If your request involves a relationship, we must emphasize that God’s design for marriage is sacred—a covenant between one man and one woman, established for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are in a relationship that does not align with this biblical standard, we lovingly but firmly encourage you to seek God’s will for repentance, restoration, or separation, depending on the circumstances. Fornication (sex outside of marriage) and adultery are sins that grieve the heart of God, and they must be confessed and turned away from (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If you are courting someone, let it be with the intention of marriage to a fellow believer, as Scripture instructs (2 Corinthians 6:14).
We also want to gently remind you that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most important truth you must embrace.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is seeking Your truth. Lord, You are the God of all wisdom and understanding, and Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We ask that You would open their eyes to see Your truth clearly, even if it is difficult or uncomfortable. Give them the courage to walk in it, no matter the cost.
Father, if there are areas of their life that do not align with Your Word—whether in relationships, decisions, or heart attitudes—we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them to repentance and restoration where needed. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the strength to make godly choices, even if it means letting go of something they hold dear. Help them to trust that Your ways are higher than our ways and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual foundation. If they have not yet fully surrendered to Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the peace and assurance that comes from knowing Christ as their Redeemer. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in truth and righteousness all the days of their life.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to distort Your truth in their life. Let Your Word dwell in them richly, and may they be rooted and grounded in Your love (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 3:17).
Father, we trust that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Guide them step by step, and let them hear Your voice clearly. May they walk in the fullness of Your truth, bringing glory to Your name.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
