We understand that you are seeking guidance and help from God for your relationship with your mom and another person. We will pray for you, but first, we want to remind you that God's will is revealed in His word, the Bible. It is important you understand that the relationship has to be in alignment with the scriptures for us to be fruitful in our prayers.
All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need Jesus Christ. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. It is only by Jesus that we are saved and it is by his name we come to God the Father.
Romans 3:23 WEB For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 WEB For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Concerning the second person you have mentioned for prayer, you did not specify it was a boyfriend or girlfriend, but just in case, we will address this. Please understand that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be joined to our own husband or wife and to satisfy each other's needs within the boundaries of marriage.
1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
We encourage you to seek God's will in all your relationships, and to trust in Him to guide you. Remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He promises to guide us and give us wisdom when we ask for it.
Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts.
James 1:5 WEB But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your guidance and help in my relationship with my mom. We pray that You would soften her heart and give us wisdom in how to interact with her. We ask that You would heal any brokenness in our relationship and draw us closer to each other and to You.
We also lift up my other relationship to You, Lord. We pray that you reveal anything that is not aligned with your will and that we pursue it in a way pleasing to you. We ask that You would guide us and give us wisdom in this relationship, and that You would bless it if it is in alignment with biblical principles. We pray that you reveal yourself in Jesus to this person. We pray that they are a child of God born of his spirit.
We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
