We lift up your two aunts before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking the Great Physician to move mightily on their behalf. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that God’s healing power is not limited by time, space, or circumstance.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon these beloved aunts. Touch their bodies, Lord, and restore them to full health. If there is any sickness, pain, or infirmity, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing now for them.
We also pray for their spiritual well-being, Lord. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, we ask that this trial would draw them closer to You. Open their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel—that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life (John 3:16). If they are already believers, strengthen their faith and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and we trust You with the outcome of this situation. Whether You choose to heal them instantly, gradually, or in ways we cannot yet see, we surrender this request to Your perfect will. Give their family comfort, patience, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also take a moment to examine our own hearts, Lord. Are we walking in faith, or are we allowing fear and doubt to creep in? Help us to trust You completely, knowing that You are good and Your love endures forever (Psalm 136:1). Let this situation be a testimony of Your power and grace, drawing others to You.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
