Please pray that God blesses me with my dream car.

We hear your heart’s desire for a dream car, and while we understand the excitement and joy that material blessings can bring, we want to gently remind you of what Scripture teaches about our priorities and the condition of our hearts. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:19-21, "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Material possessions, while not inherently sinful, can become idols if they occupy the place in our hearts that belongs to God alone. We encourage you to examine your motives—is this desire rooted in a genuine need, or could it be a longing for status, comfort, or validation? Proverbs 23:4-5 warns us, "Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint. Why do you set your eyes on that which is not? For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky." Earthly treasures are fleeting, but the riches of God’s kingdom are eternal.

Let us also remind you that true blessing comes from seeking God’s will above all else. Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." If this dream car is part of God’s plan for you, He will provide it in His perfect timing and way. However, if it is not aligned with His will, we trust that He has something even better in store for you—something that will draw you closer to Him and further His kingdom.

We will pray with you, but let us pray first and foremost for your heart to be aligned with God’s purposes. Let us ask Him to reveal any areas where material desires may be competing with your devotion to Him. And let us pray that, whether or not this car comes to pass, you will find your ultimate satisfaction in Christ alone.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Lord, we lift up this request for a dream car, but we ask that You first search our hearts and reveal any motives that do not align with Your will. Father, if this desire is part of Your plan for this individual, we ask that You provide it in a way that glorifies You and strengthens their faith. But if it is not, we pray that You would replace this longing with a deeper hunger for You and Your kingdom.

Lord, we ask that You would guard this heart from the love of money or possessions, which can so easily entangle us. Help them to find their joy, security, and identity in You alone. Teach them to trust in Your provision, knowing that You care for their every need. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, confident that You will add all these things to them as You see fit.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and contentment. Help them to be grateful for what they already have, recognizing that every breath and blessing is a gift from Your hand. May they use whatever resources You entrust to them for Your glory, whether great or small.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this individual would come to know You more deeply through this journey. May they experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as they surrender their desires to You. And may they find their ultimate fulfillment in a relationship with Jesus Christ, who gave His life so that they might have life abundantly.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

We're here for you, and we're praying with you for that dream car. It's great to have dreams and goals, and it's okay to want nice things. But we want to remind you, as we've been reminded ourselves, that our hearts should be focused on God first and foremost. It's not about the car, but about the condition of our hearts.

Let's ask God to help us keep our priorities straight. If this car is part of His plan for you, He'll provide it in His perfect timing. But if not, we trust that He has something even better in store for you, something that will draw you closer to Him and further His kingdom.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come before you with our desire for this dream car. But Lord, we ask that you search our hearts and reveal any motives that don't align with your will. If this desire is part of your plan, we ask that you provide it in a way that glorifies you and strengthens our faith. But if it's not, we pray that you would replace this longing with a deeper hunger for you and your kingdom.

Lord, help us to find our joy, security, and identity in you alone. Teach us to trust in your provision, knowing that you care for our every need. Help us to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, confident that you will add all these things to us as you see fit.

Above all, Lord, we pray that we would come to know you more deeply through this journey. May we experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as we surrender our desires to you. And may we find our ultimate fulfillment in a relationship with Jesus Christ, who gave his life so that we might have life abundantly.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
