We understand your concern and anxiety about the situation in America, and we commend your heart for the vulnerable—the poor, disabled, elderly, and animals. It's important to remember that God cares deeply for these groups and has instructed us to do the same.
Firstly, we are called to pray for our leaders, regardless of our personal feelings towards them. The Apostle Paul urges us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
As for the rich looking down on the poor, the Bible has much to say. Proverbs 14:31 WEB tells us, "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God." And in Proverbs 19:17 WEB, "He who is kind to the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him."
Your desire to help the less fortunate is commendable. In Matthew 25:35-40 WEB, Jesus said, "For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?' The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
However, we must also remember that our help should not be merely physical, but spiritual as well. People need Jesus, and our ultimate goal should be to point them to Him.
Regarding your prayer, it's wonderful that you included the name of Jesus, as it is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up America and its leaders. We pray for wisdom and compassion for our president and all those in authority. We ask that You would guide their decisions, and that they would seek Your face in all they do.
Lord, we pray for the poor, disabled, elderly, and animals. We ask that You would raise up people who will stand in the gap for them, providing for their needs and showing them the love of Christ. We pray for changed hearts for the rich and powerful, that they would see the poor as Jesus sees them.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the one who submitted this request. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, and give them wisdom and guidance as they seek to help others. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, while it's good to be angry at injustice, remember Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." Channel your anger into productive actions that bring glory to God.
