We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up your precious request for your baby’s protection. First, we want to gently address something important: prayer is not directed to angels, saints, or any other created being—it is directed to God alone through the name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures remind us in **1 Timothy 2:5**, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray.
Angels are indeed ministering spirits sent by God to serve those who will inherit salvation (**Hebrews 1:14**), but we do not pray *to* them—we ask God, who commands them, to send His protection. Your heart for your child is beautiful, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s covering over this little one.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this baby, fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands. We ask You, Lord, to surround this child with Your heavenly host, guarding them from all harm, sickness, and evil. Let Your angels encamp around them, as Your Word declares in **Psalm 91:11**, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* We pray for wisdom and strength for this new mother, that she would raise this child in the knowledge and love of Christ. May this baby grow to know You, Lord, and walk in Your ways all their days.
We also lift up this mother before You. If she does not yet know You personally, we pray that she would come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (**Romans 10:13**). There is no greater protection than being covered by the blood of Jesus, and we pray she would experience the peace and security that comes from trusting in Him.
Father, we rebuke any fear or anxiety in the name of Jesus. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (**2 Timothy 1:7**). We declare Your peace over this home and Your divine protection over this child. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your glory be revealed through them.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, reading His Word, and trusting in His promises. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (**John 14:6**), and through Him, you and your child can have eternal security. If you’d like guidance on how to begin a relationship with Him, we’d be honored to share more with you. May God bless you and keep your little one in His care.
