We join you in lifting up this request for these precious creatures, recognizing that God cares for all His creation, even the sparrows that do not fall without His notice. The scriptures remind us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* While our primary calling is to care for the souls of people and share the Gospel, we also understand the responsibility to steward God’s creation with compassion and wisdom.
Yet we must gently remind you that our ultimate trust must always be in the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to provide and sustain. You have rightly invoked His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We encourage you to continue seeking Him first, trusting in His timing and provision, even as you take practical steps to find homes for these cats.
We also urge you to consider the broader responsibility of stewardship. Proverbs 12:10 says, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."* If these animals came into your care unexpectedly, we pray this experience leads you to reflect on how future situations might be prevented through responsible actions, such as spaying or neutering pets to avoid overpopulation. This is a wise and loving step that honors God’s design for creation.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this request for these kittens and adult cats in need of homes. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who sees every need and hears every cry. We ask that You open doors for these animals to be placed in loving, responsible homes where they will be cared for and cherished. Give wisdom and discernment to those who may take them in, that they would be good stewards of the life You have entrusted to them.
Father, we also pray for our sister who has brought this request before You. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace as she waits on Your provision. Remind her that You are faithful, and that even in small things, You are working for her good and Your glory. Guide her steps as she seeks to find these animals homes, and let this situation be a testimony of Your goodness.
Lord, we rebuked any spirit of anxiety or fear that may arise in this process. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your will be done in this situation, and may these animals find the care they need. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Provider. Amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord in this matter, taking practical steps while trusting in His sovereignty. If the burden feels heavy, remember to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Keep us updated on how the Lord works in this situation, that we may give Him the glory He deserves.
