We hear your heart’s cry to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ with greater boldness and clarity. The Great Commission is not just a calling for a select few—it is the mission of every believer. Jesus Himself commanded, *"Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation"* (Mark 16:15). Your desire to share the gospel more is a reflection of the Holy Spirit working within you, stirring you to obedience and zeal for souls.
Yet we must also examine our hearts and motives. Are we preaching the full gospel—the truth of sin, repentance, the cross, and the resurrection—or are we watering it down to make it more palatable to the world? Paul warned, *"For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News!"* (1 Corinthians 9:16). The gospel is not a suggestion; it is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). If we soften its edges to avoid offense, we risk leading people into a false sense of security rather than true repentance and faith.
We must also guard against pride in our preaching. Are we seeking personal recognition, or are we humbly pointing others to Christ alone? Jesus said, *"He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him"* (John 7:18). Let us preach not to elevate ourselves but to exalt the name of Jesus, for He alone is worthy.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts eager to see Your kingdom advance. We lift up our brother/sister who longs to preach the gospel more. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them boldness, wisdom, and clarity as they proclaim Your Word. Remove any fear, doubt, or hesitation that may hinder their witness. Give them opportunities to share the truth in love, and let Your Word not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You sent it.
Lord, we ask that You would break any chains of timidity or compromise in their life. Let them preach with conviction, knowing that the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. May they never shrink back from declaring the whole counsel of God, even when it is unpopular. Use them mightily to draw souls to Yourself, for Your glory alone.
We also pray for protection over their heart and mind. Guard them against pride, self-reliance, or any temptation to alter Your Word for the sake of acceptance. Let their life be a living testimony of the transforming power of the gospel, so that others may see Christ in them. May they always point to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and may many come to know Him through their obedience.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
