please pray for ###

Kuydoreth

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me that God give me the same thing I have felt in my former friend, ###, It is a certain quality, or something else entirely beyond my ability to describe or comprehend, that seems to cause the devil to flee simply by its presence. I do not know what it is or how to name it, but I ask God to grant me this very same thing and establish it as a permanent attribute of my being. so that the devil flees whenever he draws near. I pray that God Himself would bestow this upon me and make it an inseparable part of my being, according to His sovereign will. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

We hear the deep longing in your heart and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord, for we understand what you are describing even if it is hard to put into words. What you sensed in your former friend is not a mysterious force or a human personality trait, but the presence of Christ Himself dwelling within a believer through the Holy Spirit, manifesting as holiness, purity, and submission to God. The enemy does not flee from our own strength or from a quality we can manufacture, he flees from Jesus Christ in us.

Scripture makes this plain when it says James 4:7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And also 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. It is the indwelling Christ who is greater, and when we walk in submission and obedience, clothed in His righteousness, the devil cannot remain.

We also remember Eph 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. and Rom 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. This is what causes darkness to flee, not a temporary feeling but a transformed life abiding in Christ. As Jesus said in John 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.

We rejoice that you asked this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and filled with the Spirit. We pray that you will continue to abide in Him daily through His Word, through prayer, through obedience and through fellowship with other believers, so that Christ may be fully formed in you. As it is written in 2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You for the hunger You have placed in this dear one to be conformed to Your image and to walk in victory over the enemy. Lord we ask that You fill our dear friend anew with Your Holy Spirit, that Christ would dwell richly within, that You would cleanse and sanctify and make holy every part of being, spirit soul and body. Establish in this life that permanent work of Your grace, that abiding presence and Christlikeness that causes the evil one to flee, not by human power but by Your power within. Teach us to submit fully to You, to resist the devil in faith, to walk in humility, purity and love, and to put on the whole armor of God daily. Make this dear one strong in You and in the strength of Your might, rooted and grounded in Your Word, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all things. We ask this according to Your sovereign will and for Your glory, that our lives would reflect Jesus and that darkness would have no place in us. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him with your whole heart, to remain in His Word daily, to walk in obedience and confession and prayer, for God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you and to make you more and more like His Son until that likeness becomes the very fabric of who you are in Him.

We hear your longing for that kind of settled strength and protection, and for God to make His presence so real in you that evil has no place to stay. Wanting to be close to Him and to walk in holiness is a good desire.

What we have learned is that God usually forms that kind of life in us gradually, not all at once. It is a lifelong process with highs and lows, and it grows as we stay near Him. The simple, steady ways He uses are time in His Word, honest prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers, all in dependence on His Holy Spirit who alone makes things grow. He also shapes each of us uniquely, so what He formed in your friend may look a little different as He forms Christ in you.

A practical next step that may help is to choose one consistent place to meet with Him each day, even briefly, in Scripture and prayer, and to share this longing with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can walk with you and pray with you regularly.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask that You draw him close and make Your presence known in his life. According to Your sovereign will, form Christ more fully in him, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and give him wisdom, peace and steady growth in holiness. Guard him from the enemy and teach him to abide in You day by day. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we join you in seeking the Lord for deliverance from the power and assaults of Satan.

Your longing that the evil one should flee when he draws near is a right and scriptural longing, for it is written, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Yet we must set before you what the Word of God teaches concerning how this comes to pass. It is not by some nameless quality passed from one person to another, nor by a power made to be an inseparable part of our own being as though we ourselves could by nature repel the tempter. Satan flees not before man, but before Christ in man. Where spiritual life is, where Christ dwells by faith, where Divine Grace reigns, there Satan, who loves death and abides among the tombs, is bound to flee.

The Scriptures show us that Satan considers the saints with a view to injure them, and he shoots his fiery darts with great ferocity where he hopes to keep his ground. He is not Divine and cannot be everywhere, and he departs when the Lord Himself says, Get thee hence, Satan. Our protection therefore is not in any attribute of our own, but in being compassed about with mercy, kept by Divine power, and established in that everlasting covenant which God Himself makes with His people. He says, I will make an everlasting covenant with them, and they shall not depart from me. So perseverance is perseverance in holiness.

We pray then not for a mystical impartation as you have described it, but for that which God has promised to give to all who seek Him through Jesus Christ. Without holiness, practical, personal, active and vital holiness, no man shall see the Lord, and holiness is the fruit of being made a partaker of the Divine nature through faith in the atoning blood of Christ.

Let us pray for you.

O Lord our God, who hast bruised the head of the serpent by Thy Son Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this soul who desires to be delivered from the power of Satan. Grant according to Thy sovereign will that he may be found in Christ, washed in His blood, clothed in His righteousness, and indwelt by Thy Holy Spirit. Cause him to submit himself unto God, to take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and so to resist the devil in the strength of Christ. Make him to follow after that holiness without which no man shall see Thee, and keep him by Thy power through faith unto salvation. Let Thy mercy compass him about, and when the tempter draws near, speak Thou the word, Get thee hence, Satan, and grant peace, quiet usefulness and communion with Thyself. Establish him not in any power of his own, but in Christ, that Christ may be his wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, and that all glory may be Thine. We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the great Liberator who has ransomed us from the galling yoke, Amen.

Seek the Lord continually, abide in Christ, walk in the light of His Word, and continue in prayer. So shall you prove that they that seek Thee, Lord, Thou hast not forsaken, and that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
