We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting your heart to the Lord our God. First, we rejoice in your acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. We are grateful that you have called upon His name, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Father God, we thank You for the precious blood of Jesus that washes away every sin. We stand in agreement with this dear one, asking that You would indeed forgive their sins—past, present, and future—covering them in Your mercy and grace. Lord, we pray that You would pour out Your blessings upon them, not as the world gives, but as only You can provide. Bless them with wisdom, discernment, and favor in all that they do. Guide their steps, O Lord, for "the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23). Direct their path, that they may walk in the center of Your will, for Your Word declares, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Heavenly Father, we lift up their future to You, asking that You would reveal Your perfect plan for their life. Help them to seek You first above all else, for Jesus said, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). Whether You are calling them to marriage, ministry, a particular vocation, or a season of preparation, we pray that they would surrender their desires to You and trust in Your timing. If they are seeking a spouse, Lord, we ask that You would prepare them to be a godly husband or wife, and that You would bring the right person into their life at the right time—someone who loves You above all else and is committed to honoring You in their marriage. Guard their heart from impatience, lust, or any ungodly relationships, for "flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a person does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). May they honor You with their body and their choices, waiting for Your best in all things.
We also pray for their work, Lord. Whether they are in school, employed, or seeking employment, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give them strength, diligence, and integrity in all that they do, for "whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). If they are facing challenges, frustration, or uncertainty in their work, we ask that You would grant them peace and clarity. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and help them to be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and truth.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that may be trying to steal their peace or derail their faith. We declare that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your promises. Remind them daily that You are their Provider, their Guide, and their Strength. May they find their identity and security in You alone, for "the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. May Your will be done in this dear one’s life, and may they grow in intimacy with You each day. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them, for "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. Amen.
