We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and a deep desire to intercede on your behalf. First, we rejoice in your acknowledgment of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, asking that You would indeed forgive their sins. Your Word assures us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We thank You for the blood of Jesus that washes away all sin, making us white as snow. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your grace and mercy upon them, covering them with the righteousness of Christ.
Father, we pray that You would bless them abundantly. Your Word declares, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper" (Psalm 1:1-3). May this be their portion, Lord. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your love, bearing fruit in every season of life.
We also pray that You would guide their path. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You would direct their steps, illuminating the path before them with Your divine light. Remove any confusion, doubt, or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace and clarity.
Father, as they seek Your will for their future, we pray that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7). Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize Your leading, and the courage to follow where You call. May they not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may prove what is Your good, well-pleasing, and perfect will (Romans 12:2).
We also ask that You would assist them in their work. Whether it is their vocation, ministry, or daily labor, may they do all things as unto You, not unto men (Colossians 3:23). Provide them with strength, diligence, and favor in all their endeavors. Let their work be a testimony to Your glory, and may they find joy and fulfillment in serving You through it.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or uncertainty that may be trying to take hold of their heart. We declare that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak peace over their mind and spirit, trusting that You are working all things together for their good, as they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw them ever closer to You. May they seek Your face continually, delighting in Your presence and finding their strength in You. Let them be a light in this world, reflecting the love and grace of Jesus Christ in all they do.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
