We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your plea for protection from the enemy is heard, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood, shed on the cross, that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that you may be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most crucial step in standing firm against the schemes of the devil.
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus' name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging that You are the Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth. We thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ, who has disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection over their life.
Lord Jesus, we plead the power of Your precious blood over every area of their life. May Your blood cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7) and create a hedge of protection around them that the enemy cannot penetrate. We rebuke every demonic spirit that seeks to oppress, torment, or influence them, in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Helper, Comforter, and Guide. May they be led by the Spirit in all things (Romans 8:14), and may the fruit of the Spirit be evident in their life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We pray that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and that they would take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Lord, we declare that the enemy has no foothold in their life. We renounce any and all agreements made with the devil, knowingly or unknowingly, and break every chain that seeks to bind them. We stand on Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We pray that You would expose any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained access, and that You would bring healing, restoration, and deliverance.
We also pray for divine wisdom and discernment. May they be able to test the spirits to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1), and may they be equipped with the full armor of God so that they can take their stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). Clothe them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:14-17).
Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly believers who will stand with them in prayer and encouragement. May they be strengthened in their faith and grow in the knowledge of Your Word. We pray that they would find their refuge and fortress in You, and that they would dwell in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
We declare that no evil will conquer them, and no plague will come near their home. You have given Your angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We praise You for Your protection, Your love, and Your grace that sustains us each day.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to put on the full armor of God daily. Remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy may prowl around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour, but resist him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).
Immerse yourself in the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Hide God’s Word in your heart so that you might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11). Spend time in prayer and fellowship with other believers, for where two or three gather in His name, there He is with them (Matthew 18:20).
If there are areas in your life where you have given the enemy a foothold—such as unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, or sin—we urge you to repent and turn away from those things. Confess your sins to God, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light, as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus will continue to cleanse you from all sin.
Lastly, remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Do not be deceived into thinking that people are your enemies. Instead, pray for those who may be used by the enemy, that they too may come to know the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44).
We stand with you in this battle, knowing that the victory is already won through our Lord Jesus Christ. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of the enemy, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
