We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. We acknowledge that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we pray for this brother in Christ who has endured such hardship and oppression at the hands of unjust laws and corrupt systems. We ask that You would move mightily in the hearts of those within the finance ministry, softening them to show mercy and provide unconditional relief. Lord, You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we know that You see the affliction of Your people. We pray that You would raise up advocates who will stand for truth and fight against oppression, just as You raised up Moses to deliver the Israelites from bondage (Exodus 3:7-10).
We rebuke the spirit of corruption and harassment that has persisted in this government department. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against this brother shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the schemes of the enemy would be exposed and dismantled, and that those who have acted unjustly would be held accountable. Lord, let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your justice prevail.
We also lift up this brother’s business, asking that You would restore what has been lost. You are the God who provides, and we trust in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and that You would bless the work of his hands abundantly (Deuteronomy 28:12). Give him wisdom and discernment as he navigates this season, and surround him with godly counsel and support.
Lord, we pray for endurance and faith for this brother. The enemy seeks to wear him down with harassment and discouragement, but we declare that he will not grow weary or lose heart. We pray that he would fix his eyes on You, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). Strengthen him with Your might, and let him find rest in Your presence. Remind him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also pray for repentance and transformation in the hearts of those who have acted unjustly. Father, we know that vengeance belongs to You, and we ask that You would work in their lives to bring them to a place of humility and repentance (Romans 12:19). Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness, that they may seek Your face and walk in Your ways.
Finally, Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in this situation. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Whether You choose to deliver this brother from his circumstances or sustain him through them, we pray that Your name would be glorified. May this trial produce perseverance, character, and hope in his life (Romans 5:3-4), and may he emerge from this season stronger in his faith and more dependent on You.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
