We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of injustice and oppression that has weighed so heavily on our ###. The scriptures remind us in Psalm 82:3-4, *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."* We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord sees every unjust act and hears the cries of His children when they are wronged.
Father, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we are saved. We ask that You move powerfully in this situation, softening the hearts of those in authority who have acted with cruelty and corruption. Lord, You declare in Proverbs 21:1, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* We ask that You turn the hearts of those in this government department to repentance and justice. Let them see the error of their ways and cease their harassment immediately.
We also pray for the finance ministry, that You would influence them to act with compassion and wisdom, providing the relief that is so desperately needed. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we trust in Your provision even in the face of man-made oppression. Remind our ### that his trust is not in earthly systems but in You, as it is written in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
We rebuke the spirit of oppression and corruption that has taken root in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against our ### shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for restoration—restore what has been lost, renew his strength, and rebuild what has been broken. Let this trial refine him and draw him closer to You, for You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We also encourage our ### to stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is his defender. Psalm 37:5-6 says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround our ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are fighting for him. We pray for wisdom and favor as he navigates this difficult season, and we ask that You open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
