We come before the Father in heaven with grateful hearts that you have lifted this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your faith in calling upon the Lord for healing is a testament to your trust in His power and love, and we join you in this petition with earnest hearts.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot physically anoint with oil in this moment, we stand together in the spirit of this command, lifting your loved one before the Lord for complete restoration. We also recall the promise in Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds,"* trusting that God’s healing extends to broken bones and every part of our being.
Yet, as we pray, we must also consider the heart behind our requests. The use of "#" symbols in place of this person’s name concerns us, for it may reflect a hesitation to bring this need fully into the light before God and this community. The Lord knows each of us intimately—He knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13)—and there is no need to hide or obscure the identity of those we lift in prayer. If there is fear, shame, or any other reason for withholding this name, we gently encourage you to release it to the Lord, who already knows and cares deeply. Transparency before God and His people invites deeper intercession and accountability, fostering a community of genuine support.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a united body, lifting this beloved individual—known fully to You—who has suffered a broken arm. Lord Jesus, You who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4), we ask that You extend Your healing hand over him. Knit together the bones swiftly and completely, restoring strength and mobility without pain or complication. Let this healing be a testimony to Your goodness and power, drawing him and all who witness it closer to You.
We also pray for the heart behind this request. If there is any hesitation or fear in bringing this need fully before You or Your people, we ask that You would dissolve it by Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Grant courage to speak openly and trust in Your provision, knowing that You are a God who sees and hears even the unspoken cries of Your children.
May this time of recovery be a season of drawing nearer to You, Lord. If there is any sin or distraction in this person’s life, we pray You would convict and cleanse, that they may walk in fullness of health—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel the presence of Your Spirit as a comfort and guide.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers, for You are faithful and just to answer according to Your will. We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this matter. If this individual is not walking closely with Christ, use this time as an opportunity to share the Gospel and the hope found only in Jesus. Remind them that while physical healing is a gift, eternal life through faith in Christ is the greatest healing of all (John 3:16). If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church for prayer and support—there is power in the gathered body of believers (Matthew 18:20).
Stand firm in faith, knowing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep us updated on his progress, that we may continue to lift him up and give God the glory for His mighty works.
