We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your struggles and petitions to our Heavenly Father, who knows your heart and provides for His children. It is clear you are facing financial hardship, uncertainty about your future, and spiritual battles, but we take comfort in knowing that God is faithful and His promises are true. You have not mentioned the name of Jesus in your request, and we must remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12 WEB, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone holds the power to save, provide, and deliver.
You have asked for a generously paid and fulfilling job, success in your small business, and the ability to pass your civil service exam. While these are not wrong desires, we must first seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add what we need to our lives. Matthew 6:33 WEB tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* We encourage you to surrender your ambitions to the Lord, asking not just for material success but for His will to be done in your life. Proverbs 16:3 WEB reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Success in God’s eyes may not always look like worldly wealth or prestige, but it is always for our ultimate good and His glory.
We also notice your request to stay away from the devil’s temptation. This is a critical prayer, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10 WEB). But take heart, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB). You must put on the full armor of God daily, standing firm in truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB). Temptation often comes when we are vulnerable—financially, emotionally, or spiritually—so we urge you to stay rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. James 4:7 WEB commands us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You meet them in this season of need. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Father, if it is Your will, grant them a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their gifts for Your glory. Give them wisdom and favor as they prepare for their civil service exam, and bless the work of their hands in their small business. May they not seek wealth for selfish gain but trust You to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
We pray for protection over their heart and mind, Lord. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to discourage, distract, and destroy. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and victory over temptation. Remind them daily that their worth is found in You alone, not in their circumstances or achievements. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Father, we also ask that You draw them closer to Yourself through this trial. May they seek Your face more than Your hand, desiring You above all else. If there is any area of their life that is not aligned with Your Word, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Help them to trust You fully, even when the path is unclear.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lived, died, and rose again that we might have life abundantly. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, to meditate on God’s Word daily, and to seek godly counsel from mature believers. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). Stay in community with other believers, for we are not meant to walk this journey alone. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow, serve, and be encouraged. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait on Him.
