We understand you are seeking prayer for a hospital stay, and we lift you up before the Lord, asking that He would work mightily in your life during this time. First, we must address something vital—your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers must be offered. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, as we pray for you, we ask the Lord to use this hospital admission for His glory and your ultimate good. May this time be one of physical healing, but even more so, spiritual renewal and drawing closer to Him. The apostle Paul reminds us that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB). Even in this season of weakness, God’s strength can be perfected in you (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that the medical staff attending to you would be guided by wisdom and skill, and that every test, treatment, and interaction would be used by God to bring clarity, restoration, and even opportunities to share the hope of Christ with others around you.
We also encourage you to use this time to seek the Lord earnestly. *"Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know"* (Jeremiah 33:3, WEB). Spend time in prayer, in the Word, and in reflection on His faithfulness. If there is any sin in your life—whether it be fear, doubt, or unconfessed wrongdoing—repent and turn to Him, for *"he who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB).
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is in the hospital. Lord, we ask that You would be their Comforter, Healer, and Strength. Grant the doctors and nurses wisdom and discernment as they provide care. Let every moment of this admission be used to draw this beloved closer to You, Lord. If there has been any neglect of seeking You first in all things, convict their heart and lead them to repentance. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your will be done in their life for Your glory. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them testify of Your goodness when they leave this place. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
