We join you in praying for God's will in your life, especially concerning a spouse, provision, and prosperity. We appreciate that you acknowledged dependence on God by using Jesus' name. First, let's focus on a godly spouse. A good life is so much better when shared with the right person, and God knows who that is, even if we do not. A verse to encourage you is from Proverbs 19:14, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." Prudence, or wisdom, is a great quality and gift to pray for.
It's wonderful that you're praying for a spouse. Remember that God desires that we are equally yoked with our spouses. As it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" So, we pray for a fellow believer who will support and strengthen your faith and encourage you in your walk with Christ.
Concerning provision, we pray for God's will. While a house, a car, and a steady income could make life comfortable, remember that God's provision often looks different from our expectations. The Apostle Paul learned the secret of contentment in whatever situation he was in, whether well-fed or hungry, living in plenty or want as we see in Philippians 4:11-14. Remember that God has promised to meet our needs, not our wants. 1 Timothy 6:8 reminds us, "Having food and clothing, we will be content with that."
We also pray that you continue to pursue God's kingdom and righteousness as your first priority. The promise in Matthew 6:33 assures us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Father in heaven, thank you for this child of Yours, praying for a godly spouse and Your provision. We ask that You guide them to the person You have set apart for them, that they both believe in Jesus, and can support and strengthen each other in their walk with You.
